- Sprint Duathlon (One slot per age group per gender)
Note: Athletes wishing to claim a World Championship spot must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) prior to each qualification event. An EOI is the mechanism by which athletes confirm their intent to race for and accept an Age Group World Championship spot should they qualify. By expressing intent, results can be matched against a final list of those athletes who want to attend the World Championships, and spots can be “rolled-down”. The EOI application will open 3 weeks prior to each race and will close the day prior to the event. For more information, please refer to the following links:

The Moncton Duathlon has been around for 15 years and is still going strong. We look forward to welcoming you to our city for the 2019 edition of our race.

Due to the change in bike rout this year to a 4 X 5km we will be having a wave/staggered start. These waves will be announced prior to the race start.

5k Run – 20k Bike – 2.6k Run
Run 1 you will complete two loops. The second loop starts as a left on Pellerine.
Start transition
- Right on Worthington- Stay on the sidewalk
- Right on Pellerin
- Left on Woodleigh, 90-degree turn stays on Woodleigh
- Left on Worthington
- Left on Pellerin
- Left on Woodleigh, 90-degree turn stays on Woodleigh
- Left on Worthington
- Straight to transition.
Run 2 you will complete 1 loop.
- Right on Worthington- Stay on the sidewalk
- Right on Pellerin

The bike is 4 times a 5K loop. It is the responsibility of the athlete to count their laps.

- Right on Killam for 3 more loops totaling 4X 5K loops
