Sackville Triathlon & Duathlon 2023
August 19 @ 7:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Sackville Triathlon returns to the TriNB calendar for another year! This year offering world spots for the Sprint Triathlon and Sprint Duathlon for the male/female first-place finisher for each 5-year age group category.
WORLDS SPOT INFORMATION:
You MUST be a part of a provincial triathlon organization to participate. The Expression of Interest must be filled out to our specific location and cannot be reused for other triathlon events.
An Expression of Interest (EOI) form MUST be completed in order to be a contender for a world’s spot. An Expression of Interest if the mechanism by which athletes confirm their intention to compete and accept a place at the Age Group World Championships if they qualify. By expression intent, the results can be filtered to a final list of athletes who wish to compete at the World Championships, and places can be “rolled down”. The application will open 3 weeks before race day and close the day before the event.
All athletes seeking to compete for a place must submit an EOI prior to a qualifying event. The online page is available via this link: TBA
There will be a $20 fee to complete the Expression of Interest to encourage only serious athletes to apply for a spot. The $20 will be considered a deposit for those who are successful in obtaining a spot and will be deducted from their race entry fee. The $20 fee will not be refunded for athletes who are not successful in obtaining a spot. However, it can be applied to charity events.
