You’ll swim in some of the warmest waters in the Atlantic Ocean at a beach awarded Blue Flag certification since 2018, bike along the picturesque shoreline of Cap-Acadie, and run through local trails to finish at Plage Aboiteau Beach.
Our 2024 race takes place August 25. There are three category options:
- Individual Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run), open to all levels, ages 16+
- Super Sprint Triathlon (350m swim, 12km bike, 2.5km run), open to all levels, ages 14+
- Duathlon (5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run), open to all levels, ages 16+

RACE is August 25, 2024 at Aboiteau Beach, Cap‑Pelé, New Brunswick: 8am start for Sprint & Duathlon, 8:40am for Super Sprint.
ALL participants must check in between 6am and 7:30am.
TRANSITION opens at 6:30am. Transition closes at 7:30am. Your bicycle MUST be racked before 7:30am.
MANDATORY RACE BRIEFING will be at 7:30am.
Awards ceremony begins at approximately 10am.
The swim will be in the Northumberland Strait. Based on seasonal water temperatures, wetsuits will likely be permitted (not mandatory), but a final decision will be made by Race Officials on the day.
The out-and-back bike course will leave Allée du Parc Road, turn left on Bas Cap-Pelé Road (Route 950), include a short turnaround on Rue Robichaud Road, and continue on Bas Cap-Pelé Road (Route 950) until a second turnaround, before returning to Plage Aboiteau Beach. (The Super Sprint will not include the second turnaround.) These roads will be closed to traffic, though you may encounter local vehicles as it is residential. There are NO water stations along the bike route; please plan accordingly.
The run (including a water station) will take you along a 2.5km route (looping for 5km) on trails within Parc de l’Aboiteau, finishing with a celebration at Plage Aboiteau Beach!
